Jack Reacher: Never Go Back
2nd movie in the Jack Reacher book series starring Tom Cruise. Reacher is drawn back to his MP days in the military when a Major is jailed to hide a conspiracy at the highest levels. Of all the Reacher books this is one of the weakest. Usual mayhem follows Jack around but Tom Cruise as the 6"4" 240 Reacher is a joke. @ bananas

The Girl on the Train
Emily Blunt is a divorced, depressed, suffering from blackouts alcoholic who rides a commuter train to work every morning and views from her seat her ex as well as others who become entangled in a very confusing murder. While the end is not surprising, getting to it is only because the other two women involved look so much alike. Dark and Dreary sets the tone. 2 1/2 bananas

Deepwater Horizon
Incredible recreation of the 2010 Gulf of Mexico disaster aboard the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig. May not win best picture of the year but sure is the most INTENSE movie of the year. I found myself holding my breath on numerous occasions. Special effects along with what a deep water drilling rig looks like up close, makes this movie a sure fire see it. Mark Wahlberg stars as a chief electrical engineer. 3 1/2 bananas

The Mechanic: Resurection
If you like Jason Statham, and who doesn't, and want to see an action packed with no holes barred take down movie, see The Mechanic. Statham is retired and living in the South Pacific when an old 'friend' blackmails him into killing three notorious criminals, as usual no buddy messes with our hero. An entertaining movie for a lousy day. 3 bananas

Jason Bourne
Jason, Matt Damon, after living off the grid for some years has finally recovered his memory and realizes that his father was killed by the people he once worked for as a killing machine. With a little help from inside sources people will pay for their mistakes. This movie takes non verbal to a new level. Many car and motorcycle chases but over all not up to previous very good Bourne movies. 2 bananas

Neighbors 2
Where the original was funny this is just plain stupid. Now a sorority has moved in next door and the party begins; creating problems for Seth Rogan who is trying to sell his house next door. Exact same plot as #1 but not funny. Miss it!!! 1 banana

Money Monster
George Clooney and Julia Roberts star in this wall street drama. Clooney and Roberts run a daily TV show called Money Monster and are preparing to go on air when a person hijacks the show and puts a bomb vest on Clooney in order to air his grievances concerning money that he felt had been illegally stolen from him by Wall St. Good cast, sort of a weak plot but entertaining. 2 1/2 bananas

Criminal
Kevin Costner stars as a criminal with no redeeming qualities who is taken from prison and used to transplant memories from a CIA agent who had hidden some top secret information before he was killed in hopes of recovering it before the other side did. Interesting plot but only see on a rainy day. 2 bananas
